KANSAS CITY, MO: sipVine announces the development and launch of sipSoft, a new desktop phone application for the Windows platform. sipSoft performs all of the features of the VoIP desk phone but as application on the end user's computer desktop. Like the desk phone, users can transfer calls, conference in other users, place calls on hold, mute calls, and even record a call on demand and save it to their desktop. "sipSoft rounds out our phone line up well," states Colin Wells, sipVine's Chief Technology Officer. "Between top end VoIP phone manufacturers of Yealink, Poly and Cisco, third party applications for mobile phones, and now sipSoft, we have solutions for every need our clients may have."
When paired with sipVine's sipPanel, a browser view of all of the users a customer has on the system, sipSoft provides end users with a fully integrated desktop solution for dialing, presence, chat, queue management, and monitoring, all controlled by the user's keyboard and mouse. "We're finding that customers are either fully replacing their desk phones with sipSoft or using it as a complimentary phone when users work from home or at a remote location," adds Mark Greim, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Given the current conditions in our country, more and more customers are deploying resources away from the office environment and sipSoft is extremely easy to install and use."
Similar to the VoIP phone, sipSoft provides a scrolling list of the user's call history. Users can click and redial these numbers easily and can also add frequent callers into a contact list. Contacts can be added manually or through an upload, further increasing the user's productivity when calling from the application. A separate, easily accessible list of favorites can also be created and maintained.
