NORTH KANSAS CITY, MO - sipVine, a Business Digital Phone Service company, announced today that it has developed a new fax processing platform for its customers. This new platform allows for a significant increase in both speed and reliability when faxing across the sipVine network.
Colin Wells, CTO of sipVine, accomplished this by removing non-standard facilities commands that are used by some manufacturers and adding an additional level of data redundancy to fax transmissions across the network. Colin states, “The transmission of faxes is basically a decades-old technology. However, when merging into a new and faster digital environment, in which our phone service operates, there were challenges. Due to these challenges some VoIP providers don’t even offer fax service, but we knew that wouldn’t work for our customers. So, with this new platform we will significantly reduce, if not eliminate, performance issues with fax transmissions.”
sipVine has already begun the migration of customers to this new platform. To date, all is going according to plan and the migration will be completed by the end of May. sipVine customers will be notified prior to their migration.
